ARC Foundation fulfills its mission through a threefold approach focused on scholarship, mentorship, and leadership. We provide scholarships that recognize students who demonstrate initiative and creativity, ensuring financial barriers don’t limit opportunity. Through one-on-one mentorship, students are paired with experienced professionals and alumni who offer career guidance, networking, and support to help them turn ambition into achievement. Beyond funding and mentorship, ARC hosts workshops, panels, and ambassador programs that cultivate leadership skills, confidence, and community engagement. Together, these efforts create a holistic ecosystem that empowers students to grow, give back, and accelerate their rising careers.

HOW IT ALL BEGAN

Our Story

The Accelerating Rising Careers (ARC) Foundation was founded at Howard University by three students — Daniel Adegboyega, Jada Rabun, and Joshua Ndegwa — who were driven to take action after witnessing how financial barriers were threatening their peers’ education.

In June 2025, nearly 1,000 Howard University students were informed that they owed thousands of dollars in outstanding balances and faced potential registration holds or even collections. Many of these students, despite their dedication and talent, risked losing the opportunity to continue their studies due to rising tuition costs and sudden payment deadlines.

This moment exposed a deeper truth: countless ambitious students across the country face similar challenges, where potential is limited not by ability, but by access. ARC was created as a direct response — a student-led nonprofit built to provide the mentorship, financial support, and leadership development that underclassmen need to thrive.
